Will My Compression Be Way Ass To High???
I completely forgot about a few factors when I started building this motor. Now I fear I may be fuckzored.
Specs:
Sohc Zc block:
Arias 11.5:1 comp pistons
Forged rods (havent bought, probably will)
Just a quick light hone and new crosshatch
Micropolished and balanced crank
New OEM Bearings and rings
D16A6 Head:
Milled .040
3 Angle valve job
1mm Oversized Valves
Ferrerea Retainers
Dual Titanium Valve Springs
Delta 272 Cam, cam gear
When I bought the pistons today I was a moron and completely forgot about my 1mm oversized valves and 40 thow milled deck.
Can anyone give me a good estimate or even exact with some sort of compression calculator on what my compression is going to be?
I was planning of building the motor for nitrous, but If my compression is going to be 13:1 then there isnt to much room for nitrous lol, maybe a 55 shot tops.
If I did go all motor, would I need to upgrade the stock pistons?
Any advise appreciated, loved, grateful

Gator, yours seems pretty good but I dont know the piston displacement or whatever the **** they want in the last part on the left

according to the calculator, my new engine's CR is around 12.29:1 which i consider liveable (i love the torque of this thing).

why do you wanna mill the head? I would try and get it closer to 12. I ran 12 to 1 compression on street gas so its doable. I think you would benefit more from a port job then higher compression.

I guess Ill have to get a thick ******* headgasket or something. The highest gas we have here is 91. Also how much would the 1mm oversize raise compression?
Im thinking of getting so beefy rods and spraying a 100 shot, but I think race gas would be in order lol. Just paid for the pistons yesterday.
Maybe I could find a smidge shorter rods?

try and find a thicker gasket. is this a street car, weekend car, or racecar? I would hate to have to spend on race gas for a street car. I've seen dynos of big power dseries with stock bottom ends so yours should be dope.
Daily driven street car lol. I just got so caught up in wanting a built motor that I didnt think of the practicality.
I think a nice fat 3 layer headgasket will bring the compression down. Or I can always sell the pistons get some 10:1

No matter what Im doing a 55 shot just for security when the rare person around here with a swap comes along
I think with a nice intake mani/header and some tuning I can put down some good numbers + nitrous.
Havent figured out which system I would like to use yet, probably Hondata w/ Nitrous Controls
