Too people without a cat.
I was wondering if their is any way to make my car not so loud, with out putting a cat on it. I hate how loud it is. I have a definate sleeper, but my exhaust noise just gives up my stealthness.
whats your current setup??.......switching to a chambered muffler or a larger resonator will help to quiet it all down......but itll always be more raspy w/o the cat
im assuming you have an greddy evo I/II??.....that has a resonator, and it is pretty big, but...
you could have a muffler shop cut of the "stock" reonator, and fit in a bigger one. you could even use a modified chambered muffler as a resonator, which will kill power gains, but will limit the noise........
straight through mufflers/ non OEM-style (muffler box + tip) = loud

If it is too loud, and you are running a straight pipe instead of cat, I would try putting in a resonator instead of straight pipe. If it is still too loud, sell the setup and get a Apexi WS. It makes no sense to chop up a nice expensive researched Greddy and hurt flow.
I have a resonator with an o2 bung welded in that fits where the cat was on my 5gen. Check my sig!
Just my .02

superslow, good idea about the resonator instead of straight pipe. where did you get the resonator with the o2 hole in it??

and yeah i would never hack up my greddy sp.
