capaciters??

Default capaciters??

i just bought a 1 farad capacitor and i wasnt sure how to hook it up could anyone help me out?

take your power wire, put it to positive of the cap, run another wire from the positive on the cap to either your amp or dist. block.

then ground the cap. and take another wire, from the neg. terminal then run that to the amp or dist. block

did you "pre charge" the cap yet?

You want the capacitor as close to the input of the amplifier as possible, with the wires being as short as possible as well.

thats actually more at what i was asking about the precharging part what do i have to do to do that part of it i know it involves hooking it up directly to the battery with a bulb attached to it. thanks

Connect the ground to a ground, connect a bulb in between the positive lead and the capacitor, when the bulb goes dim the cap is charged. Instead of the bulb some caps come with a charging resistor.
