ok i bought my new civic hatch today, and when i turned the **** from cold to hot, it clicked and got stuck on the hot, now i tried to turn it to cold and it clicked and wont work now, it stays on hot, how do i fix this or do i need a new one...if so does anyone have any for sale for a 89 Si (has A/C control switch if that matters...)
the heater control panel in a hatch is manuel so there must be something caught it operates will gears and rods check to see wuts catching take the cover off and look behind there mabye ull be lucky
Check under the hood where the heater hoses hit the firewall... there's a manual <rod controlled> valve on a hose there that keeps hot water out of the car when you have it on cool. Check and make sure a wire or something isn't blocking movement on that valve. Here's how to find it. From the passenger side of the car, look at the fuse box. Not, look about a foot into the engine bay, and down midway on the firewall... It's just under the MAP sensor. Look for some 1" hoses and one that's got what looks like a plastic flow valve with a TINY metal rod connected to it. Maybe it's blocked.
Enjoy.
