what can i do to make a 91 rs do 200whp NA?
whats it gona cost me to get 200hp without going ITR or turbo? id rather keep it NA for now i dont want to abuse it yet. any ideas? i see alot of people talking of vtec, im 4 days new into this and dont know much yet and need info/

No ITR or Turbo then your only option is H22, but since it seems like you want to keep your B18 then I sugesst add a vtec head to it. ls/vtec is what I'm making myself but unless you do all your own work and install....and have hook ups in parts.. 200HP is gunna be tough...maybe as tough as $8K if you have someone build it for you pay retail for the parts. Look for deals out there and you can save alot on the parts you need, and you will need alot of them I assure you..
B20 vtec, r cams, forged pistons, ported head, other normal boltons. i think that should do it.
oh wait, you could put a b16 head on your block with the same stuff if you didnt want to spend as much.

200 IS QUITE A TASK FOR A NON VTEC BUT SLAPIN TYPE R PISTONS,JG 302 CAMS,SOME TUNING AND GOOD BOLT ONS IE: SKUNK MANIFOLD,JG HEADER,AEM INTAKE AND 180-185 ISNT OUT OF THE QUESTION AND YOULL HAVE ONE TORKEY *** DAILY DRIVER!

Those 200 horses NA are going to be alot more strenuious for the motor than boost. Why? because of the revs you are gonna need to pull that much hp. If you put a VTEC head on, fine, the top end can do it now. But the bottom end is gonna take the abuse of that set up. Take a sock and put a balled up sock in the bottom. Now spin it around as fast as you can. Notice how it feels like that sock in the bottom turned into a rock!
you dont need VTEC to go fast... people think VTEC is like a must for hondas to go fast...
people will a cam with the same lift and duration as a VTEC cam lobe work just as well?? maybe im wrong... i just thought if a vtec lobe had like 450lift 345dur (made up numbers) and a non vtec cam had the same only difference would be a lumpy *** idle for the non vtec car....

nope your right, anyone see the new toda cams, that setup gets rid of vtec, basically its just a big nasty set of cams and i'm guessing it will have a very lumpy idle. i agree w/ CRXmademadeinJapan.
