Clutch problem or ... what?
sometimes when i let out the clutch a little when im stopped it wants to die, like you let the clutch go after the engagement point, but its about halfway there when it does this... happens every so often, maybe one out of 50 stops or less.
Hydraulic clutch? So do you mean sometimes the engagement point is real close to the floor? That might mean simply air in the lines (bleed your clutch), but maybe more likely it's your clutch master cylinder starting to go bad.
any other ideas of what it could be anybody...? the engagement point changes but when it changes i put some gas and it doesnt go anywhere.... like the clutch is still pressed in....but somehow it wants to die...
If you rev it & it doesn't go anywhere? Or does it struggle to stay running? Is the clutch actually loading down the engine or is it not engaging? My original answer is based on thinking that the clutch engagement point was simply real low, & it surprised you so you let it stall.
If that's not it, it's beginning to sound like an engine problem, not a clutch problem. But I'd want to drive it for myself to see the difference. It's a lot easier to feel the difference than to describe it.

Seriously guy you need to be a little more descriptive. Sounds like your car may be in dire need of a tune up or more. It also sounds as if you need to bleed the clutch or get a new master cylinder.

It sounds like when my clutch master cylinder was going bad. Check behind your clutch pedal and see if there is any brownish fluid leaking on the firewall where your clutch master cylinder is.
