Herman was posting for me last night.
Here's what i got :
Vortech Super Charger (10lb kit)
EGT probe is placed 2-3 inches from the engine on the header (cylinder #3).
I've heard 1400 degree's is bad? Is this right?
here's the funny thing, under WOT from 5th gear cruising at 75mph it goes from 1400ish and starts to decrease. In otherwords the temp starts to go down as I put a load on it.
Temp also goes down if I let go of the gas.
Weird thing (the thing that bugs me most) is that I'm just cruising at 75mph 5th gear (about 4500rpm) and my EGT starts climing towards 1400 and maybe beyond (i try to keep it under 1400 cuz i've heard somewhere before that 1400 was bad). It just seems strange to me that under minimal load, and just cruising the EGT starts to climb high. If I push the pedal harder (and go faster than cruising speed) the EGT starts to fall down slowly. If i let go of gas completly the gauge will drop to 1100 range very quickly.
This kind of sucks because I can't just cruise on the freeway?
Should I be worried? Is 1400 a bad numer or am I missinformed? (it was something along the lines of 1400 = **** starts to melt on a honda block).
If you understood what I said and have any information for me it's much apreciated.
