Raises back to normal temperatures? Is this an idle issue or temp gauge/engine temp issue?

If it's specifically an idle issue does it happen at while engine is cold, at operating temp, or both?
Any CEL's?

Sorry for responding so late just logged onto the site now. I should be more active on here....any way I have managed to nail the problem. To anser ur question is happened with both. My head gasket was leaking coolant so since re torqing the head it solved the problem so far. The head gasket was changed recently I don't understand was the head under torqued?

Hopefully it holds up now that it's torqued to spec. Did you do the HG repair or someone else?
