i searched and found alot of information, but not what i was looking for. i've seen people tap their greddy turbo manifolds where the greddy heat shield goes, however, everybody says on #3 runner is best. since the manifold is cast and the walls are pretty thick, is it still possible to tap on runner # 3 or should I just tap the hole already there(for the heat shield)?TIA and if you're going to tell me to search(which i did), simply push the back button

 

I've never seen anyone tap their manifold where the heat sheild goes. Is the post even wide enough for the 1/8 npt?

just tap it in the #3 runner.

 

i tapped mine on the runner. that is working fine for me.

 

my friend bought a greddy kit and thats where his manifold is tapped....do you guys have any pics of the placement?did you tap it yourself?pretty easy to do?
