Default Gear Speed Tranny

I am looking at Gear Speed to completely rebuild my J1 tranny and put a Quaffe LSD in it.

Does anyone know anything about their (Gear Speed's) custom built LSD that is like th Quaffe. The guy I spoke with said it is about the same but better since it is custom built.

Does anyone use it? And waht kind of work Gear Speed does?

if no one knows anything on ht, you should ask for some references. Your about to spend some cash at their shop, they shouldn't even hesitate to provide you with some. Then go and check out the work and talk to the guy. Good luck.

If you need any references, just call me 909-476-7252. I can give you most but, a couple of them are secrets...SSSHHHHHHH!! Just so you know we deal with American Honda Motor Co. We build transmissions for their warranty program. If you were to purchase a new car w/ a manual trans from Honda and the trans fails, the new trans will come from us if they choose not to repair the trans at the dealership. So we do have lots of credibility like dealerships....nationwide!
Also I invite anyone to come down to our shop and take a tour so you can see our operation.

Gear Speed

Here's my Type I Gear Speed tranny with carbon synchros and they installed my Kaaz LSD, so its just like their Type II, but with a Kaaz instead of a Quaife. Great customer service as well!

gearspeed is definatly worth it! these guys know transmissions. like james mentioned they do supply all the manual transmissions for AHMs hondacare program and we have ordered a few from them for non warranty jobs in the past. if its all possible stop in and take james up on the tour offer. it will give you a real appreciation of the intricate work that the staff puts in to the transmissions.

for a quality product and the professionals that sell them.
