it has a stock 93 sohc vetech and i want to do a dohc b16a how much faster would it be? and yes it will be vtech

yeah, why not get a LS/VTEC or GSR? yes the B series will be a huge leap over the D but if your gonna get a B why not go with the b18?

yes turbo the d. It dropped my 97 civic coupe 2 seconds on stock boost. At 5.5 psi i'm now clocking mid 15's. At 10 psi, 14's

1.) dyno before & after on the same dyno w/like conditions
2.) go to a track...average 5 runs before & average 5 runs after
come back here & tell us the outcome

You must not know how to drive then lol. With my car on a greddy kit I dropped 2.3 seconds...I went 17.1 bone stock del sol (only got 1 run in and it was a shitty one). 14.8 on 5.5 psi and 14.1 on 8 psi. All I did was bolt up the greddy kit and i was hitting 15.0-14.9 and once I blew the clutch and upgraded to an ACT I was hitting low 14.8s(not much of an improvement).
And even with those numbers I'm not the best driver. 14.8 I'd hit 2.3 60' and 14.1 I hit a 2.2

im lookin for somthing reliable as well as quick im not really lookin to go race everyone i see the car just hit 160000 and i just want to pep it up a bit but not spend a great deal of money

very good point, but either way you go (b16 or b18) just make sure it has

i learned how to program my ecu with my vtech phone to make vtec engage harder. it works cauze honda makes the vtech phones thats what the H stands for at the end. make sure to put your vtech phone in one of those sparco phone holders, you get more torque.
B16A... Not very much faster
Mid n' top end improves but torque sucks.
