My endless f**king battle with code 15.
Code 15: Ignitor output.
Ok so i had this problem for a good while and i couldnt really drive my car because of it.
I bought a brand spanking new ignitor from Acura (GSR motor) and the car would start up fine, no CEL, no nothing. Today when i went driving (after having other shitty problems) the car ran fine, went on the freeway and it was fine. When i got off the freeway to a light the car died. turned it off and started it again but when i let go of the clutch it dies and throws a CEL. I finally get the car home (had to ride the clutch the whole way home so the car wouldnt die ) and its that same ******* code. What else could be the problem if i change the ignitor?
Also when i tried starting the car on my way home (after it died again) i heard a pop. Im afraid to open up the dizzy and see my 113 dollars down the ******* drain.

A Bad/going out main relay can cause an ignitior to fail. It's warm out again and the summer heat tends to creat cracks on the pcb inside of the main relays, might pop it out and take a look.

I know how to pull the main relay out, but when i do how do i test it to see if its good or not?
And a bad main relay could cause my ignitor to pop like that? Kind of like a short?

dunno if this is what happened in your case, but take a look at your pin of your ecu plug of the ignition output, the pin might have bad contact.

If you have access to a Helms manual they have the proceedure to test the main relay.. Bascially if you take it out of the car and remove the cover you will be able to see the soldered connections.. If they look loose and cracked you can resolder them and it might fix the problem..
Obviously something is causing your igniter to fail.. Try to figure it out before you have to buy a new one again..

This doesn't sound like a main relay to me. Is the sensor that makes sure the clutch is not engauged when you start the car connected behind the pedal? Try taping it up, and see if it'll keep running afterwards.
