Well that wont get you far I know that. I had my block sleeved and built with forged internals and once I had the gaskets and oil pump, water pump and all the other crap you need you'll be well over that. I've got over 3 grand in just my block!

comptech icebox 150ish
jdm dc 4-1 header 260ish from 2K_TEG
some exhaust lets say 500
high comppression pistons -450
that leaves u with $640 for suspension (coilovers and shocks-ground control and kyb or tokiko, whatever you can get)

Also this sounds too good to be true?? let me hear the cons of this way>

200-270 WHP With the same budget(1k-2k)? HUH? Yes, for a “similar” budget above, you can make a difference of more than 50 HP. It’s simple, I can easily explain. Same head, same header, same everything, from going to a 11.8:1 IB Spec piston in 81 MM stock bore and making like 200-210 WHP, you could go to a 86 MM Ultimate Piston at 15:1 compression and make about 260+ WHP. And that’s just changing the PISTONS! So it can quickly become a street motor, in a street car, to a race motor in a street car in a matter of hours. Lots of people run 103 or higher octane on the street. Who cares? If you can afford that, more power to you, fast is fast. Or you could be like everyone online and just “lie” about running pump gas in your street car on your “made up” compression.

Build your head with skunk2 cams, springs, retainers, mild port and polish with Hondata S200 and mill the head.

It is too good to be true. pistons alone wont make all the power but a combination of all other parts in your motor! and 15:1 for street is too much in my opinion, and u have to spend money on tuning!! no point on building something nice and not tuning it !

if i was u.. I'd do RM M22 cams, pr3 pistons, rm valvetrain, fake j's intake, Thats what am doing to my gsr motor in my rex. and u'll stil have loot left to spend!
