Default ZC tranny on SOHC

I've been looking for an 88-91 si trans, but i am having no luck finding one. Do you know if the ZC transmission will bolt onto any d-series motor.

Also, if it does bolt on, do u know if those trannys are any good, or are they not worth it.

Ive heard of people using them on sohc's. They are better for turbo cars because of the longer gears.

the ZC transmission has the advantage of equal length half shafts, greatly reducing torque steer. Also, the gear ratios are physically closer, meaning the revs dont drop as much during shifts. It does, however, share the DX trannies 3.8 final drive. swapping this for an Si 4.25 final drive will make for a very bad *** tranny.

enough with the "long gears are better for turbo" bullshit. unless you are running an *extremely* high final drive and losing traction because of it alone, shorter, tighter gears are always goign to be better..unless of course you have a v8 with a very wide torque band. in that case, you want a high final drive with wider gears.
