Im a total newb but i know a couple of things but i was woundering what would be the engine requirements if i was planning on installing a turbo? What would be recommended to be changed.
how much you boosting? which motor? how much hp you looking to achieve? Street? Strip? Both? All these and probably more is what you need to ask yourself first. PLUS the almighty question of how much money you got?
Have a chunk of change lying around, then try:
-darton sleeves
-JE pistons (most of the top questions will determine which compression pistons you will want)
-eagle rods
-polish crank
-balance
This will pretty much take care of your bottom block, plus tuning of course. Now there's always the head to spend some of that extra money on too!

exactly... its all dependant on what you want to do with your car. There is no "exact" thing to do when modifying, its all dependant on the circumstances.

i donno how much im boosting but lets say a B18C-R ITR JDM 210hp@8100rpm lets say 60 if thats possible and streeet and strip. You gatta help me on this im learning LOL
boosting a JDM ITR motor? You might wanna lower the compression for starters. That motor already needs 91 o 92 octane or whatever and adding boost, you will need race gas or something. U can do what I mentioned earlier and use like 10:1 compression or something and boost fairly decent on the street and boost higher on the strip and be able to get around 400-500hp easily!
Just get an LS block (cheap) run 10 lbs on a t3/t4 with a .48 trim turbine and you will be fine. If you want to go the extra mile do low comp. pistons and rods (stock bore or maybe a little over) If you want to bore it out for the extra displacement SLEEVE IT!
ITR motors are best for NA. Dont get me wrong they are nasty when boosted, but you will get better results with less money if you don't blow you load on an itr motor to start with.

ls or b20 are pretty cheap and easy to find compare to all the other b series motors. It's a good idea to have a budget and a goal before you start into this. You don't wanna start out wanting one thing out of your motor and end up with something completely different. I understand your situation as probably many were in the same spot at one time when they first started. It would be best to go through a bunch of past post and just read and read...it will help you understand more and actually probably help you know which path you wanna take.
