The best option out of these two is to buy the glass breakage sensor but, I'd install both of them if possible.

Proximity. Let's the thief know the car's not going to be happy. Also, you can leave your windows down to run into a store.

I would use the break glass sensor. It is more important.

The prox. will also "see" the glass brakeing, and a glass sensor can't see the car being slim jimed, also, a little milar and ceramic, and i can remove the glass without so much as a peep. 94

Which one of the 2 will give you more false alarms? I was thinking about this too, and got myself a glass sensor in the end. I don't want a mailman setting off my alarm...nor my cat that likes to hide under cars.

I bought it on ebay when I bought my alarm. It was $35 extra and it is a DEI sensor.

proxy sensor = made for convertibles. the microwaves used in proxy sensors do not go through metal so if you have a non-convert, it will get bounced off the roof and all over the interior of the cab and cause all sorts of falses. If you have an hr to dick around with the internal and external adjustments on a proxy..get it. If not then get a glass break and relax with a beer after you install it.
