just a thought where all the ITRs??? theres 4500 in the states?
theres 4500 on thim in the usa. I dont see that many of thim in dallas, once about every 5 months. where are all the itrs?
there's not 4500 in the states bud. They are rare...I only see about 2 or 3 each week...and usually they are the same ones that I normally see.
I think that its a safe guestimate that approximately 4500 ITRs hit US soil the 4 years they were imported in total. With such a high theft rate and so many being recked or totaled....nobody has any idea what the count has come too these days. I dont see an ITR more then probably once a month...if that, and thats no exageration. Keep in mind i live in a Harrisburg suburb thats very very populated. Most ITR owners dont drive the car daily and prefer to drive a secondary source of regular transportation, which could also be a reason for why you dont see as many!

I have owned mine for two months and have yet to see another one. Apparently there are a couple around town, but I haven't run into either one.

The other thing to remember is that the white ones and the black ones (IF they exist
) are indistinguishable from other white and black Integras if they're going the other way on the expressway, so you don't notice them. You only notice the yellow ones. But 4500 is a very small number. Think of it this way: there are twice as many NSXs as ITRs in the country. How often do you see an NSX? For most of us, not very often at all.

I saw two NSXs in the past two days. They are dime a dozen.
j/k.

There are only 70 ITR's in the Netherlands... :-)</TD></TR></TABLE>
That's about one third as many per capita as in the States (since there are 16 million people in the Netherlands and 295 million in the United States).

I would guess of the original 4,500 in US 1/2 - 2/3 remain on the street. The others fell victims to crashes, theft/stripping or guys (like me) making dedicated track cars out of them.
Anyone else want to guess how many street cars still exist?

Ken, I'd guess that's mostly because the NSXs were available for a greater number of years (than the ITR), and still are.
Hmmm ... I never realized there were THAT many in the US. Ed

how can you NOT notice the yellow ones? and the black ones are indistinguishable because they're fake.. that leaves the precious CW..
but yeah, my radar usually sees anyone i pass..

i live in the bay area (cali) and i do at least 100 miles a day in my Type R going to school work, and just going out. I would have to say that i see about 1 or 2 ITR's at the most each month. The only ones that are around are the ones that are garage kept. Other than that anything laying on the streets past 12am is considered gone!!!

Anyone else want to guess how many street cars still exist?</TD></TR></TABLE>
I would guess that at least 90 percent of them still exist.
Sure, there are some thefts, but some of them re-appear; and some crashes, but many of them are re-built. You hear about the thefts and the crashes, which overdramatizes their numbers. You don't hear about the ones that are still around, and there are lots and lots.
For actual numbers on which ones are still around, check out those topics called "An a(count)ing..." and I think you'll find statistical support for a higher percentage than yours.

2 or 3 each week? That's alot. I've seen maybe 10 ever and that includes autocrosses here in Nc.
