Default B16A swap (93 to 96)

Hi All. This is my first msg here !

I live in Brazil and I have a Civic Coupe EX AT 96. I have a unique oportunite to get a b16, ecu, transmission.... from a Vti 93 that crashed. What I'd like to know if it's a good chance to do a swap, because i heard that it's not good to put a engine "older" than your car, because it's odbi and not odbii, is that true???

Other than that, what should i take care to have a good swap (including the transmission)?

Thanks a lot!

well, people only say that because there are laws here prohibiting the use of older motors. But if there's no restrictions where you live, go for it.

You'll have to convert the car to OBD1, but that wont be hard at all.

Thanks for the reply, where i live, there are no problem.

I have another question, where can I find a swap guide that show my case, of swap a b16 from a vti 93 in a 96 ex coupe at. Because I don't know what's necessary to buy, and make changes. Is there any issues in the transmission swap? A MT from the vti 93 into a coupe 96 at???

Thanks!
