Hey guys...sorry about the ot garbage...but I gotta vent and/or get some advice on this because I am getting my ****** meatlog jerked off by this machine shop.
Here's the scenario....I had to take a week off my lovely job at kroger to rebuild my motor on my gsr(note:its my daily driver and only car). SO...I make an appointment with Clark Engine Works, to get my block honed...pistons pressed...crank/flywheel etc. balanced and my head checked(damn bent valves). Ok...he tells me he can do it in a day, of course, just to "check" the cylinder head...so I figure he could have it done in three days tops, being lenient. My appointment was for Weds.(the 21st).

Here is ****** what really happened....saturday night, pull the motor after work. Sunday, tear her apart...were talkin everything, from the guts(and clearanced the mains/rod bearings). Monday, I left to cleaning and whatnot. So, Tuesday I figure I'd give him a call and see if he would take the head a day early. He agrees, and says he'll get to it if he can. I think, no big deal, even if he starts weds. it will be cool. When I drop it off, he isnt there, so after waiting a little while, I just leave him a long *** note with both home and cell numbers on it.(left my retainers, head and note on the floor next to his desk). So, as scheduled Weds., I bring the block in and what do I see, the head on the ground in the same spot. Im still cool with it...just figured he hadnt started yet...so he says he'll work on it and it and I should be able to pick it up friday afternoon. Thurs. was thanksgiving..and I wouldnt expect him to work on it. However, Friday, I didnt get any calls and I called him all day...no answer. I guess he doesnt pick up his phone....

So here we are ****** saturday, 830 am by the way(I usually wake up at 2), and low and behold, what do I see when I walk in....yep, you ****** guessed it....THE ****** HEAD ON THE GROUND, UNTOUCHED. I look in the machine shop itself...see the block on the ground...with the piston and rod boxes on top of it. OH ****...he gives me the ol' I was sick on thursday and friday...I WILL have your shortblock back by today...and Ill definately get the head back to you at the beginning of the week. OK...I should have ****** lost it by now, but I am a very, very reasonable guy(especially when this guy has my motor in his hands, I dont want him to **** it up cuz I was an *** or anything..), he said he'd call me today.

YEA...you ****** guessed it again....no ****** call. So, I strolled up there around 5ish and they were closed. Isnt that just ****** great....what was supposed to be done and I would reassamble and have running by ******* friday...is in turn not even touched on sunday(shop is closed). So, I have no ride to work tomorrow and Im just ****** sick of not being able to get around. Im really sorry for the length, but I had to ****** vent....help me out..what would you do? (be reasonable, none of this, tell him **** you and punch him in the mouth!)

Cliffs...had 1 wk. to rebuild motor, machine shop told me they would be done in one or two days, so five days later here we are and my **** hasnt even been touched...I'm left with no ride to work and suicidal rage because of boredom and wanting to have my ****** car running..

Sorry to hear man, been there on my car, took 2 days to do my portflow valvetrain on a BRAND NEW head! along with other problems ( as my motor was blown up and i had a running short block sitting in my garage)
Only thing i can say is dont't rush the guy( he might not do everything correct), be patient (i know you are ready to tear his arms off) and hope he can do it asap.
Worst case scenario, find another shop and pull your stuff if he hasnt touched by tuesday...if possible.
Still that sucks man, that sh*t happens to the best of us... i was in same boat...but i was without for alot longer.
Oh yea, it'd be nice to kick his *** but what would that accomplish, right?
