Removing oem antenna from 88-91 hatch
I want to completely remove the oem antenna from my 91 Si (making it a radio-delete car). I have the block-off plate and gasket for the outside, so no worries there. However, do you pull the antenna up and out or push it back into the car to remove it? I tried both and I don't want to screw up anything.
Any tips appreciated.

you remove the two screws at the top and pull at the same angle as the a pillar, think of removing a plastic rod. make sure the other end is loose and can be fed easily under the dash and up the a pillar. if you were installing a new one tape a long wire to the end of the antenna cable, so when you pull the antenna out it will also bring the wire through the top. then remove the tape and the old antenna. tape the end of your new antenna cable to your guide wire an pull it through and route it to behind your stereo
When I pulled mine out of my crx and put a block off plate, I went under the dash, and snipped all the zip ties holding it in, and I was able to pull it out with ease. I don't know if it was the original antenna though because of the zip ties, I'm not sure if they were in like that from the factory.
yes under the dash.. unplug it from the radio.. cut the zip-ties that might be holding the wire.. and just pull it out
and then get this lol :

and then get this lol :
