how do you remove the attena on an ej1?

Default how do you remove the attena on an ej1?

i mean theres only two screws that hold it in...but after you loosen that i still cant figure how to get it off of the rod...plus i dont wan to break it.

You pull on it. And disconnect the wiring on the rear of the radio.

First, you need to disconnect the antenna under the dashboard and ease the way of the wire until where it enters the a-pillar.

I suggest you put a wire on the bottom, if you plan to replace broken antenna with new one.

You loosen the screws on the roof and pull out antenna, while doing so you will pull wire through to which you can connect the new antenna wire and pull the opposite way.

That really facilitates the entire replacement process.

ok so remove the two screws...take the connection at the antenna off...and pull from the top?

disconnect the antenna from the radio and push it towards the a pillar... remember to tie a rope around it, then pull from the top and it will come out. the rop is so you can replace it

well basically i just want to take it off so i cant paint my car. is there a way i can stuff it in the hole and take it back out after im done?

no ... no way, just take it out, tuck the wire/rope in (I prefer a wire, sturdier) and then have car painted, it really is no big deal.

ok then...haha, cause i masked off my windows and in doing so i taped the door shut...i dont want to retape it but i guess i was being an idiot.
