Default Specialization Required!!!!!

Hey, I have e 92 Honda Accord 4door, and I am looking forward to rebuilding my stereo system. But first, I need some help in finding the right speakers for my car. I recently had a pair of sony xplode 15"s, but I think that they where too big. NEWays let me know what exactly should I put in my car to get the best sound and quality.

if you want sound quality.. i just put a 10 inch type r in a sealed .75 cubic feet box bowered by an alpine mrd-m500 and it hits hard and also hits CLEAN!!!!!! i absolutely LOVE IT! thats coupled with no rear speakers and 6.5 inch alpine type r seperates powered by an alpine mrv-t320 2 channel amp. i have the same exact car as you, and my car has never sounded so good

are you seriously telling him EXACTLY what system to buy w/out letting him test the field?

first of all, xplod subs SUCK. plain and simple. they can get pretty loud but NO depth.
second, 10 type r will hit somewhat hard, but not loud at all. 12" would've been better for that amp.
third, alpine's 6.5" type r components OWN. they are affordable and play clean as hell. so i will vouch for them.

What's your budget like? what are you looking for...bass like a ****, or sound quality. no, you usually don't get both.

try getting a 12" sub, you'll most likely be happiest.
experiment with rear fill or not.
make sure (for interior speakers) you try to spend 75% for the front and 25% for the rear. DO NOT let the rear speakers over power the front or you lose sound imaging. again, this is assuming you want rear fill. i've heard plenty of people perfectly content with front only. i prefer having the rears. do some research in this forum rather than posting a thread like this. you'll get better results. good luck. pm if you need help.

If you are looking for good sq then look in Diamond Audio M6 12" they hit hard. Good for SPL and sound really good. A friend of mine has 1 Diamond 12" in a vented box and musically it sounds really good and it can hit hard. For the front end of your system I would suggest a good set of componnents by either Focal or Boston Acoustics. As for amps I would highly recommend the Boston Acoustics GT amps. They are awesome, and the crossovers on the amps are really good. But that is my opinion.

well, i wasnt trying to tell him what system to get, just letting him know my experience with an almost all alpine system. so far the MRD-M500 and 10 inch type r are loving each other for me
