Thinking about an S2K
I am thinking about getting a S2000 for my next car. Right now i own a 2002 Civic SI. I am just curious what you all think of your car and if you have owned or driven an 02+ hatch how it compares.
Also, the only thing i am really worried about is the insurance cost and any little quirks the s2000 has. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
OH and this would be a daily driver car for me. Good idea or no?
THE '00 COMES WITH A PLASTIC REAR WINDOW? WHAT YEAR DID THAT CHANGE?

Quirks? Every car has those, some are just "worse" than others in the sense that some may not be bearable to all people.
Insurance will vary on the year you get, your age, and your driving record. If you're under 25, expect to pay around 275 per month if not more. Don't forget to add in a possible $450-600 car payment
Lastly...as far as the daily driving part, depending on how bad your winters are, I would suggest getting another car for that.

I see S2K's around here for about 17K-20K so i figure i can get the payment down to about 300 a month. The winters in Dallas aren't really harse. I think i have seen it snow once in the last 3 years

what year S2k are you planning on or thinking about getting? You're def. not going to touch an 04 for 17k, never gonna happen.
I have been seeing some 01's go in that range, but, the plastic rear window sucks! lol Atleast that is the popular opinion.
now that I see you edited your first post, 02 was the first year for the glass rear window. 00-01 were plastic.
