Turbo d16z6 questions
alright d-series boost heads i got a question for you guys, a Garrett AiResearch T3, watercooled ball bearings, maximum boost pressure 0.75 bar (11 psi), off a saab 9000 should spool pretty quickly and some good numbers on a tuned d16z6 correct? i have a chance to get one at a local junkyard for 100 bucks... its in beautiful condition with NO shaft play... should i jump on the deal and prepare myself to become a dseries turbo ninja? or leave it alone...
the biggest factor in quick spooling is the having the least amount of IC piping. i.e. the piping from my turbo to my intercooler is about 4 in. my full boost is at ~2800. anyways get that ****. here is a pic of my 4 incher=Zero Lag
hey man post a pic of your whole engine bay, it looks interesting with that turbo setup... how does it pull? I'm guessing with no lag, it dies on top end?
*edit* sorry I know it's off topic
