Use a really really really big air gun. You'll probably need at least a 1/2 inch drive air gun, or you can use a crank pulley tool that allows you to use a breaker bar to break it loose.

My 1/2 inch drive air gun wouldn't do it either. I finally ended up borrowing one from the shop next to us. It was considerably more powerful than mine (which maxed at 130 psi) and it zipped it right off.

130 psi should suffice to remove a crank pulley...go to 150 if you have a valve on the compressor.

as for putting it back on do it the same way you took it off.....

I used a floor jack handle as a huge breaker bar. 1 person and 2 seconds later, I had a loose crank pulley.

I bought the moroso pulley tool. My IR 1/2" drive impact takes em loose and the moroso tool helps me torque em down.
