I have a 2002 Acura RSX, I want to put AEM Cold Air and Comptech full exhaust. Plus I'm eventually gonna put 17g turbo system. I want to make it look like a sleeper though. What can I do?

 

make it look as stock as visably possable from the outside and take off your typs-s sticker if itz a type-s

 

I shaved the badges off, right now I'm thinking if i should drop it and put a kit on it. I dunno what to do. Also does a silencer kill the horsepower that exhuast adds?

 

A bodykit would be the wrong direction if you are gonna make it a sleeper and yes you will loose HP but will still have improvements over stock.

well if u are gonna put a turbo in it, which i am, hehhe. i would leave ur stock exhaust on, just unbolt it from the head. so it appears that u still have the stock exhaust on, but in reality ur runnin open header. and as for the intercooler, paint it black or get a mesh grill to cover it up. and as for blow off valve, well there arent any that are silent as hell, belive me i have looked. just make it look stock, and if u really wanna make it a sleeper, here is the thing, DONT PUT DECALS OF WHAT U HAVE IN IT...LOL..

sleeper get a quiet exhaust with a smaller tip, not a 4incher...
get engine mods....that make power....take your spoiler off if u have one...
lower your car...and add no cosmetics

If I had the money I would get a RSX with no options in white and drop in the R k20 engine! major sleeper *** kickin! also the only decal I would put on it would be to support your local police cause a sleeper is for one thing racing and the downside is a tricked out car will get girls way faster than a sleeper thats why I want the R! great looks, fast, and totally under warrenty! ahmen!

 

get a bunch of stupid rice stickers and plaster your RSX with them
like Type-R and Type-SH on the other side.. and maybe a few with Japanese writting... get some stupid Neon lights for under your car and those flamboyantly gay washer lights.... maybe a giant fart can on the back...

oh and dont forget the queer uni-wiper conversion...

hahhaha .. deff try to make it look stock... like stock rims and wheels, but the intercooler will probably be noticeable ... but i mean its gonna look gay if u try to hide everything, your car deserves more respect

 

If you do go turbo.. powder coat the intercooler black so its less noticeable... Dont remove the stock bumper grill try to keep as much of it intact as possible.
Keep you guages in your glove box or on the dash, no big monster tachs...

 

i would turbo that bad boy(unleash the fury)but spray the ic black so people think its a radiator and instead of getting an exhaust get a test pipe of ebay where you pul a lever and the exhaust is routed ou the side of the car and not through your stock exhaust. my friend here in hawaii this setup, and he fools everyone, and i mean everyone.

 

now if you really want the car to look like a sleeper go N/A... no one is really gonna open up your engine to see if it has stock cams or not. Tune it with cam gears then put the stock gears back on. Get a nice 4-1 header and put a heat shield on it so it looks like stock. Put 2.5 inch piping with a quiet muffler or a stock muffler, then again any exhaust if fine because if you look at it just about everyone has an exhaust.

 

i don't want na, i want to do turbo cuz it's much faster, i wanna set the turbo timers for like 4000 or maybe 4500, that would help alot in 2nd and 3rd
