I ordered a new clutch and pressure plate from hondaautomotiveparts.com and when I went to install my pressure plate I ran into a problem. As you can see from the picture the dowel pin hole and bolt hole are opposite from the flywheel.

My only guess is that I don't have the right pressure plate. I ordered it for a del sol VTEC b/c that is where my engine came from. Right now, I'm trying to figure out what is going on. Did I get the wrong pressure plate? I don't want to order another one and get the same thing.

yeah try rotating it, but it have to align with the flywheel correctly with the mark or white mark. other than that, they might have giving u the si sohc vtec one instead of the dohc vtec

keep trying lol, it would help if you compare it with the stock PP.

Just by looking at the pic, I can tell you that its not rotated in the correct postion. A PP will only fit one way on a flywheel, and it looks like it is in the wrong position. Like everyone said, try rotating til all the bolt holes are aligned, and if its still wrong, its probably teh wrong PP. Look at the part numbers.

yeah there is only one way the pp can go into the flywheel.

check the part number on the bag that came with the pressure plate and call honda to make sure you have the right one ....
edit: if its not the right part number call hondaautomotiveparts to see if they will give you a new one...
