I swapped a B16a into a CRX, the kid that owned it got the motor and tranny online but i dont know where. When it came I noticed that the shift rod out of the tranny had been bent. I pointed it out and told him it could cause problems. We went ahead and put the motor and tranny in. Now it wont gointo first, second, fifth or reverse. My friend that always helps me with swaps thinks that it will give us a bad name if we dont fix it for free. Do you guys think i need to be responsible for it or not. We told him about it before hand.

 

hell no you arent responsible, you told the kid it could cause a problem its up to him to fix it.

thats like brining in a busted starter to a shop and asking them to install it, then being mad when it dosent work.
