Rough engine miss during easy acceleration!
I have recently noticed a problem in my 95 Honda accord. When I accelerate lightly, there is a point where the engine runs so rough that it seems to be missing a cylinder. The car has normal power when the gas is pushed hard. The problem only seems to exist when the petal is in one location.... barely pushed. The exhaust chugs and the car surges. The honda garage says that it may need new plugs and wires or that the EGR runners are clogged. To me it seems like it may be the throtle possition sensor because it only happens when it is at one point in the pedal. The problem just popped up out of no where. Please Help!
Thanks,
Nick

If you think the EGR is clogged then check it out and clean it. It may also be the spark plug wires or just the spark plugs. Replace them if you haven't in while.
I had to replace my spark plug wires when that happened to me. Only happened during acceleration. It felt like it was missing as you described it. The car would even sputter a bit. Then after the initial acceleration it was normal. Definately check everything out, then start to narrow down possible causes. You might be suprised how something little could be causing it all.
