have any of you ever gotten a motor that just sucked?
Have any of you ordered a motor that just didnt run right, or do most of the sites like sohfast.com and hondamotorsonline.com really go over theyre motors and make sure they are fine. and also on sohfast they have 94-96 b18c1s for 3500 and 97-01 b18c1's for 3900, is there a way to tell the year of these motors or are they just telling you youre getting a newer motor if you buy the 3900 package?
Well, I am dealing with Jerome at Sohfast right now and he's a great guy. I ordered the 96 b18b swap for my 96 civic dx. There have been a few problems with damaged parts, and 2 missing/improper motor mounts, but jerome took care of those things right away at no charge, kudos to him. My swap will be done within a week, but they have already started up the motor and my mechanic said it was running great, which was my biggest fear. I guess I'll have to wait till it's all said and done, but so far Jerome and Sohfast get my vote. One word of advice though, he's a hard guy to get ahold of, so be patient and he'll get to ya.
If you have any other questions feel free to pm me. Good luck

I got my OBDII Jdm B18c from Hmotorsonline.com. The motor is really clean and runs mint. Only problem I've had is that i recieved the motor about 6 weeks and and still no recipt. I call after about a week and was told i would get it 1-2 weeks after i revieved my motor. Another week went by (2 week mark) and still nothing in the mail. So i called again and was told it would be sent out that day. About 2-3 weeks later still nothing. I'm gonna give them another call tomorrow.
