Default What size WG would you reccomend for this setup?

Ok here it is:

I have a B16 sleeved with 85mm JE's and an eagle stroker crank, 1mm oversized valves on both the intake and exhaust, AEM EMS, 3" downpipe back, and a rev ahrd stg. 2 kit. Currently I have the 35mm tial and I was wondering if I should think about getting something a little bigger before I finally get this thing on the road. What do you guys think?

Flow capacity. Contrary to popular belief, larger higher HP applications do not necessarily require the largest wastegate available. The lower the boost pressure you are gunning for the larger your wastegate needs to be. An engine/turbo combination that is set to 25+psi has a smaller wastegate flow requirement than the same application set to 7 psi. This is because the wastegate is used to lower the boost not raise it, the lower the boost pressure is set the more flow the wastegate must allow.

I have no clue where you are getting this information from, but you might want to rethink that statement. I'll explain later when I get home.

sounds like your motor will flow lots of CFM's... if you plan to run low boost levels you may need to get a bigger wastegate...

thats as per Tial. . . Who knows they could be wrong, but im sure with the money in R&D they put into actually making Wastegates and the raceteams they are affiliated with they would know what they are talking about.

I would like to hear this explanation... from what I understand, you don't even need a wastegate to make huge hp, as long as your motor can handle that much boost, and you dont care how fast you burn out the turbo...

with this prospective, itr206 makes complete sense to me.

Well see that's another thing that I'm running into...because I am mostly building this thing for a weekend car and to hit the track occasionally. On the streets I'll probably want to keep it tuned to under 400whp, but I'm not sure what kind of boost levels I'll be seeing with the stroker and all. Anyone know what boost levels the stroked boosted guys are running?
