Blue smoke
My prelude has been blowing blue smoke when the car heats up. I'm pretty sure that it is my piston rings that need replaced, but that's a lot of work. The way I figure it is, I have 3 options.
1. Just the the piston rings replaced
2. Get the engine rebuilt
3. get a new car
Any suggestions?
And does anyone know how much it would cost for the piston rings and/or to rebuild the engine?

If it's smoking when it's idling, it will most likely be you valve stem seals. If it smokes when under load it'll most likely be the rings.
If the oil rings are finished, just changing them may not solve the problem. You'll need to get the cylinder bore measured to make sure it isn't out of round. If it is out of round and you only replace the ring, it'll smoke not long after.
If they are out of round, the best thing to do is to bore out the cylinders to manufacturer spec (.25mm), get +.25mm pistons and rings from Honda. Basically a rebuild.
