B-series swap
I am putting in a b-series vtec swap into my 2000 civic hb dx. My current engine is the 1.6L with tb on top of the IM and crank angle sensor. What I was wondering is what do I have to do to the wireing to make a b-series engine work. I have access to both OBDII and OBDI distributor, alternator, and injectors. I will be running a p28 ecu with a jumper harness. Would someone have diagrams as to how to modify my existing wireing hraness?
Thanks for any help.
Thanks for any help.
You'll need to use the OBD-2 dizzy, alternator, and injectoers, and the actual wiring will depend upon the exact swap. If you plan on swapping in a B16 or a Type R engine, then the wiring shouldn't be more difficult than a wire for the VTEC solenoid, a wire for the pressure switch, and a chassis ground from the pressure switch. If you plan on using a GSR/Sir-G engine, then you'll need to add the necessary wiring to operate the secondary butterflies and the knock sensor, and invest in a P72, unless you plan on running an aftermarket manifold without the secondaries.
Thanks for your reply. The engine is a 2000 JDM ITR that was originally going to be put into an EG and since now it's going to be in my EK I wanted to konw what other parts I will need.
Thanks!
Thanks!
