Recently I totally rebuilt my motor (B18B1, w/11.6:1 pistons, stock rods, head) and when drive down the road, in 3rd gear or higher the car sorta surges like the power is fluctuating. The transmission is stock along with the clutch and pressure plate. Also the maintence light is constantly on. Any idea's what it could be?!?

 

Come one guys... Need some help here.

 

check if your clutch is slipping

drive at about 20mph, then rev it high and dump it into 5th gear. if it flares after you dump the clutch, your clutch is slipping
