I'm wondering how much and what is needed to prep up a complete swap motor from a friend from his house in AZ to my place in NY? what company should he use?

the engine is sitting on a pallet, what will he need to do? since its not from a shop or hmotorsonline.com. its a regular USDM hi mileage engine just pulled out from a wrecked Prelude.

so, my questions are, what will he need to make the engine safe for freight? and how much money am i looking at for freight and to pay him for handling.?

i dont know which is correct forum to put in, so i choose this one since thats where most people here have had to use frieght..

call a trucking company for quotes.

H23 block and some misc nuts and bolts in a crate weighed 284lbs and costed me $280 or so....dont remember..it was from Washington State to Georgia. Across the damn country

I shipped a D series from AZ to FL-cost 3 bills ! Unless u have business acc with a tru co, you are going to pay alot! Prolly 300-400...

 

go with GI trucking they are pretty good.

they quoted me 600 or 700 dollars, i didnt save the quote.
