k20 swap price
I'll be the first to answer your question seriously. If you go with just a basic k20a swap you are looking to spend a good 7500-8000 for everything needed (not including install).

7K is kinda high for the basic swap (that is, labor not included.) You'll have probably 5-6 between engine, tranny, ecu, mounts, harness and the basics like chain, water pump, seals etc. If you get saucy and start replacing all the timing stuff like gears, guides, tensioners, then you'll start running up toward 7K really quick. But you can go more than that, because there's always badass engine management, stand alone fuel management, turbo.................I want eventually to do this swap and do it up right. And I figure it'll have to be damn more than 10Gs.
Is it worth it? If you can pull the cash, then once it's turboed and all, you'll maybe be in it around 30K at most (if you bought your EP3 new). But man, I don't know specific output numbers on this, but you can put GT killer on it for sure.

If you want to make it bulletproof, parts alone will run you over 12K.......at that level though, you can run 12's N/A and still get well over 30mpg while driving it every day

He's not talking about a EP3 hatch. I'm sure he's talking about a EG or EK.
