Default Installing Stock Intake: 98 GSR

Right now I'm running with an AEM v2 CAI. I plan to put my stock intake back on when it starts raining.

Quick question: I noticed the extension from the filter to the wheel well. Is this necessary to install back on? Especially since some of the bolts and brackets were removed.

Will I have any issues with putting on the intake hose, box and filter?

Just a piece of mind when driving in the rain with water. V2 doesn't have a bypass valve.

So anything connecting below the filter doesn't need to be re-installed?
