Default aftermarket intake + stock intake tube?

aright my aem dry-flow replacement filter finally arrived today.

my question is, can i clamp that filter onto a stock d16y8 intake tube? its like 20 degrees out so i dont really wanna unbolt my stock box n try it, otherwise i would.

but i noticed the stock tubing gets wider where it clamps onto the box. as opposed to an aftermarket intake tube where its just straight and u connect the lower half of the intake tube with a coupler. so i figured the wide end of the tube would be an issue

Seriously it can't take more than 15 minutes to install an intake. Even if you are drunk it still cant take more than 15 minutes.

i dont have an aftermarket piping. all i got is the stock rubbery/plastic **** piping with stock box and no resonator.

my question is can i attach the aftermarket filter to a stock intake tube?

it depends on the filter size. i did it for a while...

trust me your better off just getting some large diameter tubing or something to add more volume between the filter and the tb. i know others will disagree with me but given that its that cold out, i would just wait till its warmer and take care of the whole thing in one shot

Off topic but why not just ebay an intake and have a real pipe? It's like 30 dollars, if you don't want to do that, why not use the stock air box?
