vafc uninstall help

Default vafc uninstall help

allright.. i ahd my B16 in my hatch w/ vafc.. i have to take it out for smog ref in cali and now its throwing cel.. dowes anyone have any instructions for uninstalling a vafc? thanks

I've never taken one out, but a good method should be to uninstall it like you would an alarm.

Trace every wire back to where it connects and cut it at it's furthest point, making sure to re-insulate the wire. if a wire has been cut then reconnect it solder and insulate.

sorry I don't know enough about the vafc to really give you any help, did you have the CEL's before you took it out?

Are you OBD1? If so did you connect the VTM wire back up? (thats the wire that you completely disconnect going to the motor and only connects the VAFC to the ecu)

Also find out the code then it would be more helpful for us to help you.
