hey guys i am looking to upgrade my subs. I was looking at the infinity refrence and kappa and the sony p5 aluminum or the other kind. i want to know what is the better of the ones i am looking at and i have a 1000 watt amp just to let ya know

sony blows, infinity is great, alpine is better, and i hear RE makes some damn good subs, just not lucky enough to be able to hear em myself

 

jus say no to sony.. inless its a wega...

but to answer your question between Infinity or Sony... thats easy. Infinity. get the Kappa Perfect. not all that bad for the price.
BTW, what amp are you running that has 1000 watts ? is that peak wattage or RMS ?

depending on your price range, go for adire subs, cheap and amazing quality.

between the 2 i'd say infinity, stay away from anything that has the sony name on it (home stuff included included).

my question is why are you limiting yourself to only the 2 brands? i know image dynamics makes some great subs that are affordable

but I have an Alpine Type R and love it.......and about the same price as the Infinity.

 

i would say infinity.. that is what i have... i love them.... but i want alpine

I couldn't have said it better myself. I ahve 2 of Alpine's type r 10 inchers. All I can say is, they hit pretty ****** hard!!
