Default Legality of older BLOCKS?

Hello, I'm aware that (in washington state) it is illegal to swap an older complete motor into a newer chassis....i drive a 94 del sol, with a b18b, but i have a spare b18a block sitting around that would be very convenient to work on while I am still using my b18b. if I have all of the obd1 emissions equipment, head, etc. on my car, would this still be illegal because the engine code would be that of an older engine? thanks a lot in advance!

yes.... will you sell your block now?

but on a real note. How are they going to know, do they check the car there that much. Even down to the motor code. They don't just hook your exhaust up to a pipe and run your car?

just do it i say
