Default tell me what you think plz

alright i got my suspension on order and now im thinking about the basic bolt ons. what i have in mind is comptech ice box, dc 4-1 ceramic header, and rs-r exmag exhaust. if anyone have any experience with any of these products please let me know. i did some research and found out that these products give low-mid range power and thats what i'm looking for, but if i'm wrong let me know. also will i have to get new plugs? and it'll be nice if anyone will give me suggestion on the next step on power, i'm not interested in turbo, don't get me wrong theres nothin wrong with a turbo honda its just that i think hondas are purest when in N/A trim. i not looking for massive power, maybe another 30 hp at the wheels with crisp engine response and low-mid range power delivery. something simple and reliable

oh by the way i have a 99 gsr

AUTO X RULES!!!

RIGHT ON BROTHER!!! Nothing like the scream of naturally aspirated engines at 8,000 RPM Those parts are a good investment, but a 4-1 actually gives more upper-midrange and high end power. You dont necessarily need new spark plugs, but a new set never hurts. go with the NGK plugs that the factory chooses. Also, about more mods that you are asking about, next step is to get a Skunk2 intake manifold and an ECU that is mapped for a single runner manifold like the B16A or ITR. Good luck with the GS-R.

how much does that exhaust cost? i say you go custom exhaust and use the saved money towards an intake manifold.

your set up is right on track.......I have a rsr and love the way it sounds, anything below 3400-4000 sounds like stock and after that sounds a little deep at high end. Comptech ice box should be good from what people say but I have a HKS filter and love it. I think you should look into getting a JDM 4-1 type r header with skunk2 manifold and bore you stock gsr throttle body. Maybe a set of type R cams or skunk2 cams would help....

the exhaust is $499 from modacar.com and custom exhause would cost me more than that

i also drive a '99 gs-r. maybe you should go for cams, cam gears, fpr and chipped p28. with those mods added to your current mods, you should be close to 170whp. good luck man.
