KONI yellow or TOKICO Illumina
I am planing to buy Ground control coilover for my 00 civic. For shocks I am not sure what should I buy KONI yellow or TOKICO Illumina. I did research and found out they both adjustable. SO which shocks should I buy? what are the difference between them? Tokico Illumina are cheaper than Koni. SO should I buy Tokico.

If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to the Koni, go with the KYB AGX. Although, for that set up, you'll probably want to run Koni's if you can afford it, since depending on your drop and spring rates, the KYBs may not be able to handle it.

MOS DEF GO WITH KONI YELLOWS, YOURE BETTER OFF PAYING A LITTLE MORE FOR A BETTER QUALITY PRODUCT, PLUS YOU GET A LIFETIME WARRANTY.
i just installed koni yellows with a ground control set up and im pretty happy with the results. Its a little pain to daily drive but if you dont mind giving up some comfort its well worth the money.

I have the same set up on my hatch. Koni yellows w/ ground control. Nice, smooth riding suspension, and very flexible with the height adjustment. The adjustable perches are sweet. The illuminas are also good shock, i had those on my DA, and I don't have any complaints about them either. After riding on my Koni Yellows, i'm gonna have to stick with the Koni's. hard choice, both are good products. Good luck, you'll be happy with either

the only thing that i do not like about the yellows, is that when you are adjusting them (stiffness) theres no way to tell how equally stiff each strut is getting. Thats what i like about the kyb they have different set number (i think 1-4) 1 being the softess and 4 being the stiffest set up.
I've had the Koni yellows on a couple of different cars and they have been great. I blew the seals out of one racing my Porsche and the dealer replaced it no problem. I have them on my Civic now and wouldn't have anything else.
i have ground control + tokico hp shocks... im 100% satisfied with the setup... i have a 98 ex coupe... th max i lowered it is 1" but i have it at 1/2" right now (just wanted even wheel gap all the way around... not ugly *** slammed stuff; i hate it when the fender covers up part of the wheel)...

that's not because of the koni yellows, that's because of your gc coil overs. if you had stock springs with koni yellows they would have nice comfort to them. gc coil overs are stiff, near 500/400 F/R spring rating.

If you can tell the diff between 180 degrees and 1 degree than you can get the konis to adjust equally...180 degrees equals 1 level and there are 5...you do the math...oh by the way i have koni yellows and h&r sports on my hatch and its awesome
