i see that there is an opening on the side of the wastegate for a fitting and on the top, i know that the side fitting should be connected directly do the compressor housing of the turbo. i found the threading specs and everything on a search, but i still do not know what the top fitting is for. if somebody can enlighten me i would be thankful.

 

the top is generally used for a boost conotroller.. if now it is allowed open.

 

Not sure what kinda manifold your using, but if the wastegate mounts on top of the mani and you're not using a boost controller, then just leave the fitting off. Your hood will thank you.
