Tranny problem...shift fork or synchros..maybe clutch?
So I'm at the tracks today and I miss a gear (3rd) at about 8,500 rpm.
I've done this before sadly, even once earlier today. I got uberdata with no rev-limiter, bad idea.
So anyways, it's hard as hell to get it into any gear now at almost any RPM, and after 4,000 rpm it's virtually imposible to get it into the next gear. I have to double clutch it just to get it into 5th at like 15mph.
The tranny has never really given me much problems...never any grinds unless I make a mistake, but never on it's own.
My best bet is the shift fork, what do you guys think?
I can pretty much rule out clutch because even when the car is off and I would shift gears...it feels tight and rough at every gear.
Any inputs?

the pressure plate is shot, the synchros are probably on the way out in 2nd and 3rd, you will most likely need to replace the whole clutch setup, unless you wanna spend for only the pressure plate and risk having the **** slip in a year after paying to open it up anyways.
Don't ask me how i know

If it's hard to get into all gears, it's the clutch. I doubt the shift forks. I broke pieces off my pressure plate (spring keepers), which lodged and jammed the clutch (hard clutch use at 8400 rpm). Found the pilot bearing horribly rough, the throwout bearing with slop, and the bearing on the intermediate shaft with lots of play. I expect the tranny main bearings are getting loose as well. I will open it up and replace those eventually, but they are ok for now.
Open it up, do the checks in the Helms, replace the bad parts, and run that biznitch to redline! If you dont have the skills and tools, pay the do$h to have someone who knows it do it right. It's worth it.
This was all at 40K for me, but it was giving signs at 30K. Replace your shift bushings too, and change your tranny oil frequently.

Even when the car is off and it feels rough throughout the gears? My clutch is heavy duty, and fairly new, never gave me problems till AFTER this horrible misshift...so I think I bent the fork? - No one else agrees?

Agreed.
I don't really remember, but I don't think mine exactly felt smooth engine off.
It could be anything. Take it out and have it all checked. If you can, pull it yourself to save labor, and have the work done by a qualified Acura mechanic if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself. While it's out, you can correct anything that's wrong, and go back to the yummy R feeling.
