Default B16 Sir II engine v.s. B18 GSR need help

Sup ya'll well the thing is I'm undecided between a B16 Sir II engine and a B18 GSR. I'm in Iraq right now so when I do get back, I want to get a new engine for my 99 Honda Civic...automatic. Thats right I said automatic, and I aint want to convert neither. But the thing is I know that the GSR has bout 10 hp and bout 13 ft. lbs. torque more than the Sir II but is it worth the extra $1000 for the GSR? I also want to put turbo under the hood. So which engine would be fast and reliable at the same time. Any replies is greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Id say go with the B18c1 motor because its really an all around great motor for turbo. The B16 is known as "the tourqeless wonder", so u wont be spinning tires as much but your acceleration will also suck compared to the gsr with the same mods. so the gsr has my vote.

Neither...Because if you plan to stay automatic you're better off getting another car...

I don't even think the B18C1 came with an automatic option in the United States. For some reason, I remember reading somewhere about a guy who hurt his left leg and had a hell of a time finding a automatic transmission for the GSR. I think he ended up getting it from Singapore or something. I think it was in Sport Compact Car a couple months ago. I don't think the B16A2 did either.

They both came in automatic. I read that same article. It was on Honda Tuning. He had a 99 EX like mine with auto. and did awhole lot to it but wasn't satisfied with the quarter mile time. I found a site with both the Sir II and the GSR in automatic. They both coming from Japan. So if the GSR is the way to go then I guess I'll do that. Thanx for the info.
