Correct me if im wrong but when I go to buy headers and an intake for my 97 Civic HX I buy EX parts correct or do i buy DX parts? Thanks

i'm guessing the intakes are the same. not sure about headers because i believe non vtec/vtec motor headers are different. correct me if i'm wrong.

 

What about body kits and **** like that?

 

you need the intake from an EX because the dx has a vertical throttle body. the header you will need for a dx because the dx and hx share the same header mounted cat.

 

K thanks. Im thinking about getting a body kit also and on the list of type of car they have DX or EX, which one would I pick for my HX?

Well see I already have a car for motor and **** and this civic is for my son and thats what he wants and yes I know im going to get flamed for this **** but hey come on guys help a bro out.

 

the body kit shouldnt matter. You could say either one and youll be fine. the only things that changed from the different trim levels were paint matcehd mirrors, door mouldings, rear plate surround, and sideskirts. Bumpers and everything else are exactly identical.

Just turbo it and get it over with. I boosted my HX suprisingly pleased with it.

i have an hx myself and i plan on turbo-ing it also

 

I have an HX. Its swapped and turboed and I am VERY pleased. heh actually my old HX engine is going into the DX hatch sometime in the near future.
