Default ebrake pics

If you look closely you can see that the left side is older then the right side wire. You can see that I have adjusted the brake tighter (reveled shinier thread) The right one (wire) is more shiney and is less flexable. This causes the left side to ram up agaist the ebrake itself, preventing full application of the ebrake. Would I have to replace the left wire to balence it out?

hmm.. seems like the left cable was stretched to begin with and this just exasperbated an existing problem.

ebrake wires can't be very expensive.. so why not replace it?

E-brake cables are $50~$60 each.

The two civics Ive owned were like that so I figured that its normal. My car hasn't rolled away yet. (knocks on wood)

Every single car I've ever owned has looked just like the picture.

I've been through about 15 cars. I consider it relatively 'normal'.

47560-SR1-A12 WIRE A, L. PARKING BRAKE $44.35

47510-SR1-A12 WIRE A, R. PARKING BRAKE $44.35

These 2 prices are for the left and right cables alone (#5 and #8). If you need anything else on that pic:
