Hey guys, i have this really strange noise coming from the front of my car. i dont know much whats going on with my engine or transmission so ill give u some description on what the problem is. There a strange noise coming from my car when im at idle when the clutch is engaged. When the clutch is not engaged the noise goes away, but when i depress the clutch and i press the accelerator a little and the rpm's goes up the noise comes back again. When the rpm's goes up the noise gets louder and louder. When i drive from stop to go the samething happens. Well before i had a chance to pull over and stop, i made a u turn and then the car just crapped out on me. When i try and start the car back up i can here the starter try and turn over but then it just goes dead. i dont know what happened. I think my transmission just crapped out on me but then again i think it might be an engine problem to. So what do u guys think it could be?

 

just check if cams are moving
open the oil cap and crank you will see if they move thats one

as for your tranny before it crapped on you did you loose grip
rev hard and the car goes nowhere?

Nope didn't rev hard or anything. All i did was come to a stop made a u turn while i was pressing the accelerator slightly during the u turn engine stopped. then i started it again then it stopped again. then tried again and the car wont start. I tried for a few mins to start her again and i can hear the starter doing its job and the car just wont start.

 

explain the noise a little better

 

check your belts.. maybe the timeing belt began loosing tension and just snapped

or possibly an alternator... not an expert just going over basics
