first take out the ac belt by loosening the ac pulley. then unbolt the ac compressor, i think there are 4 long bolts.

I cut my ac belt, undid the 4 bolts 2 on top two on bottom, and they you unhook the lines. If your system is full your refridgerant will leak out just pull it out quick. If you look in the haynes they should tell you step for step

IN A WELL VENTELATED AREA: before you do anything remove the pressure from the lines..use a long screw driver or somthing that can depress the pin under the refill cap(green/blue or black cap) standing out of the way extending your arm depress the pin...if your standing right above the hole expect to get sprayed with stink..once all mist/pressure is removed proceed to dissamble.

dont be scared its nothing more then spraying a can of spray paint or hair spray just dont be in front of the nozzle when you spray it or youll get sprayed..yes it is polluting but its very easy and very fast and dosent cost anything if you get caught i dont know you

If your car is just sitting then your pressures are not that high.. ususally somewhere close to the ambient temp. So if you want to do the ILLEGAL thing and vent it do it in the morning.

IMHO call and AC shop and tell them to remove it.. if it's R12 I guarantee they will do it for free.
